The San Antonio Big Bloom Home & Garden Show makes its debut March 27–29, 2026 at the Freeman Coliseum Expo Hall. This new event brings together gardening inspiration, home improvement ideas, and hands-on experiences designed to help homeowners refresh their spaces for the season ahead.
With free admission all weekend courtesy of Miracle-Gro, the show offers an easy way for San Antonio residents to explore new ideas, connect with local experts, and enjoy a weekend focused on home, garden, and outdoor living.

A True Big Bloom Experience: Plants and Outdoor Living
True to its name, the show places gardening and outdoor living at the center of the experience. The Big Bloom Plant Sale will feature thousands of plants and garden products from local growers, including palm trees, succulents, air plants, adeniums, Talavera pottery, and more suited for South Texas landscapes.
Visitors can also stop by the Pretty Petals Flower Bar to design their own custom bouquet using fresh seasonal flowers.
Garden enthusiasts can attend expert sessions throughout the weekend covering topics like natural organic gardening, trees, natural pest control, tomatoes, herbs, Texas plants, pollinators, and pruning. The show will feature Howard Garrett, known as “The Dirt Doctor,” along with Justin Butts and local Master Gardeners, sharing practical guidance tailored to South Texas growing conditions.

To help guests kickstart their spring planting, the first 325 attendees each day will receive Miracle-Gro Pour & Feed Singles while supplies last.

Hands On Classes and Interactive Experiences
Guests can also participate in hands-on classes throughout the weekend. Advance registration is required and space is limited.

Children ages 5–12 can learn basic kitchen skills while making Spring Fruit Roll-Ups in a fun, guided class. - Sourdough Starter Class with The Bake Lab
Participants learn the basics of sourdough baking and take home their own starter.

Guests can also pick up a Big Bloom tote bag at the show entrance, while children can receive a free Kids Easter Bag during the event.
Families attending the show can also enjoy Easter Bunny photos, plus the Kids’ Garden hosted by the Men’s Garden Club of San Antonio, where children can dig in raised garden beds, learn the basics of planting, and take home a plant of their own.
Additional activities include DIY birdhouse building, sunflower crafts, and zoo animal coloring books, creating a fun experience for younger visitors.
