Home Improvement and Big Bloom Inspiration
From remodeling and roofing to kitchens, baths, windows, and outdoor living solutions, attendees can connect directly with trusted local contractors and service providers. Whether planning a renovation or smaller updates, the show offers practical ideas and face-to-face conversations with experts who understand the Valley.
Spring gardening is also a major focus. The Big Bloom theme highlights seasonal planting tips and landscaping ideas tailored to South Texas conditions. The first 325 guests each day will receive Miracle-Gro Pour and Feed singles while supplies last, making it easy to bring home inspiration and start planting right away.
Special Guests: Justin & Kayla Butts
This year’s show welcomes Justin and Kayla Butts of Four String Farm, a Texas-based farm known for its sustainable growing practices and seasonal education. With a hands-on approach rooted in real farm experience, the couple shares practical advice on intentional planting and growing in warm climates.
Kayla Butts is also the author of the Garden to Table Cookbook, combining her background in nutrition with farm-fresh recipes and seasonal guidance. Together, Justin and Kayla bring growing expertise and kitchen inspiration to this 35th anniversary event.

KTEX Shed Giveaway and Show Floor Highlights
One of the most exciting features of the weekend is the KTEX iHeart Shed Giveaway. Guests can enter for a chance to win a pre-fabricated 6 by 12 shed through multiple entry methods during the show. The winner will be selected live on Sunday during a key reveal.
Attendees can also pick up a free tote bag courtesy of Stand Strong Fencing while supplies last.
Family Activities and Workshops
The Rio Grande Valley Big Bloom Home & Garden Show offers something for all ages. Kids can enjoy DIY birdhouse building, Be Kind sunflower crafts, and zoo animal coloring books throughout the weekend.
Children can participate in the Cookie Decorating Workshop with Paty, creating floral themed treats. Advance registration is required and space is limited. Story time with Dr. Ida H.
